From crafting, eclectic electronic soundscapes to providing production to some of the UK’s biggest names in the grime scene, WIZE (Born Jordan Birch) has steady been creating a solid name for himself in recent years.
Being around the creative side of music from birth due to his mother being a renowned session singer in her time, WIZE found that it was inevitable that music become his primary passion. He began his journey in the form of an aspiring rapper, writing solely about the various things that he had seen growing up on council estates.
This then evolved into the curiosity and motivation to begin producing his own music. Since then, he has provided production for not only himself, but for artists such as Wiley, BEXEY, D-Block Europe, Yxng Bane, Randolph, Kara Marni, Ghetts, Krept &amp; Konan, Dot Rotten, not to mention various collaborations with numerous producers worldwide.
2016 was a huge year for WIZE, seeing him collect accolades such as being placed in MOBO’s “10 artists to watch this year” list, huge support from BBC Radio 1xtra DJ’s such as Jamz Supernova, Mistajam, Yasser &amp; Seani B and even performing internationally to large crowds in Portugal, Belgium and various cities around the UK. His June released EP “Goodies” featured at No.1 in the BBC Radio 1xtra Top 5 EP countdown presented by Jamz Supernova.
As a host, WIZE has created and stars in his own show on the renowned Boiler Room called "Crowdsourced", featuring some of the most respected producers in the game such as Sam Gellaitry, Flava D, Oshi, IGLOOGHOST, Crazy Cousins, Machinedrum, Jamie Edgar and plenty more.
WIZE's attention to detail and progression of his craft will no doubt be the driving force to his success in the future.
