Pain Magazine goes on a deep dive of their debut album, coming out October 3rd.

Pain Magazine is the accidental product of worlds colliding: two separate groups of artists, both renowned in their own scenes, coming together to ‘see what happens’ in a 5-day studio residency.
Birds in Row, celebrated post-hardcore trio known for their scathing, efficient poetry as much as they are revered for the brutality of the music they make, joined forces with Maelstrom and Louisahhh, Franco-American duo making ‘techno music for punks, punk music for techno-heads’. Both teams of musicians coming from entirely separate worlds musically, but sharing values (integrity, authenticity, equity) and themes (mental illness, grief, liberation), allowed the process to unfold into an initial (breakneck) five songs in five days before deciding to do more (six more songs in five more days) and ‘really’ start a band.

The result is a thrilling amalgam of genres, references and emotions, exploring guitar driven punk and power-pop, bullish industrial rhythms and gritty walls of epic synth melodies crumbling under the lyrical exploration of emotional turmoil of ambition and survival.
This sonic journey culminates in their debut album, Violent God, a testament to the raw energy and creative synergy between these two groups. Each track stands as a bold statement, pushing the boundaries of their respective genres and moving further, delving into uncharted territories while maintaining a cohesive, electrifying identity. With Violent God, Pain Magazine invites listeners to experience the visceral intensity and poignant storytelling that emerges when disparate musical worlds unite, forging a path that is as unpredictable as it is captivating.
