Virtual Forest Records head honcho Fluid Matter joins Pluralist in the mix.

Fluid Matter started off in SeekSickSound, playing in Parisian clubs such as La Station or L'Alimentation Générale, until he moved to the Netherlands and simultaneously started producing his own music. In 2021 he launches with Solma and natural limit his label Virtual Forest Records, a testing ground for all sorts of sounds centred on - but not limited to - the deeper side of techno and bass music. While his label invites promising hybrid talent from the French scene and beyond, Fluid Matter releases a first EP on UK-based label Simply Deep, and a second solo EP in 2022 on Virtual Forest.

Refusing to stick to one vibe is part of Fluid Matter's sonic DNA, and his DJ-sets reflect his multiple inspirations. When building a set, he interlocks carefully-dug gems into a living jigsaw puzzle to experiment with rhythmic pattern complexity and tension dynamics. As a whole, his mixes follow a clear logic and direction while drawing on a wide range of sounds and styles, standing on the razor's edge for maximum effect.
