For this months show Anna Wall has handed the turntables over to respected selector and collector Pablo aka Sports, for a two hour Cumbia special. Born and raised in Mexico City, he’s a producer and creator of urban music channel Passiflora. As a dedicated vinyl digger he’s been building a record collection over seven years, and four years deep into collecting classic, rare and hard-to-find Cumbia 12” and 7” records. The mix is a journey of Cumbia past and present from its roots in Colombia to Mexico. “I’m trying to bring the sounds of Cumbia to the rest of the world” says Sports.
