Swimful is the alias of Northumbrian producer Jamie Charlton.
During his formative years in the north-east of England, his production skills were sharpened through production work for cloud rap originators Lil B and Main Attrakionz, and through collaboration and live improvisation with fellow Novocastrian experimentalists at venues like the Star & Shadow Cinema.
A move to Shanghai followed, where he cut his teeth as a DJ at now-legendary Shanghai venue the Shelter, releasing music on in-house label SVBKVLT and providing production for artists like Organ Tapes, Bloodz Boi and Gaika.
