MX (pronounced “Emme Xis”) is a DJ and multidisciplinary artist from Recife, northeast Brazil. Active since 2017, she is the founder of Extasia and a cultural agitator known for bold audio-visual performances. Now based in Portugal, she has produced standout editions of the party Fuxico, featuring key names from the Latin American underground. Her sets move through funk-driven club sounds with influences ranging from manguebeat and guaracha to bounce and drum & bass, always centering productions and vocals by women, trans, and gender-diverse artists.

‘The Dancefloors That Made Me’ takes listeners on a journey through the spaces that shaped their favourite DJs and producers. Each guest will select three dancefloors that have had an influential impact on them and bring three corresponding tracks that take them (and us) right back there.

It started with an old favourite of mine. The first record you hear on this mix is by Kirk De Giorgio. The mix was inspired by this track. I was searching for grooves and beats I would usually not play in a club yet really love to hear and I added some classics and some more mellow vibes to it.

Each episode dives deep into the raw, hypnotic energy of club music, exploring its evolving soundscapes through Adiel’s distinct vision, from immersive rhythms to late-night atmospheres built for the dance floor.
